Can you replicate a photo of a cake?

You can definitely send us a photo for inspiration however we do not directly copy another baker’s work. Also, as each cake is made to order, no two cakes will be the same.

Do you cater for different dietary requirements?

Depending on what you need we may be able to assist. Head over to our contact form to let us know your specific requirements and we will let you know what we can do.

Does using a dummy cake reduce the price?

For most occasions, it’s just as easy for us to put all your servings into the main cake. Dummy cakes are most useful if you love the idea of a really large cake, but only have a modest guest list. As most of the cost is in the decorating, a five tier cake with only three tiers of real cake will still be closer to a five tier cake price than a three tier price. When considering whether to go for a small cake plus kitchen cake, keep in mind the scale of the event and the visual impact you would like from the cake.

How much do your cakes cost?

All of our cakes, cupcakes and other treats are custom made to your requirements and as such there is no set price. The price of each cake varies according to a number of factors such as: cake size/ number of serves required, complexity of design and complexity of techniques required, amount of detail, shape, sugar flowers, topper etc., ingredients and materials required and if delivery and set up is required.

Sometimes we may ask you for your budget to help in being able to design something that you’ll love within your price range. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a design and then to find out that it’s out of your budget!

What size cake should I order?

Working out how much cake you need can be confusing! Depending on the type of event, serving size will differ between coffee and dessert sized portions.

Generally speaking, a coffee size portion of cake will be 2.5cm long by 2.5cm wide and approximately 13cm in height. Coffee sized portions are often served alongside other dessert/s at the venue or party.

A dessert sized portion is twice the size, around 5cm long by 2.5cm wide and the height of one layer of the cake and is usually chosen when there are no other desserts being served.

Below is a chart to give an approximation of how many serves you can expect from round cakes
